RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct research on emerging issues for American business interests in China; provide program and logistical coordination for meetings, events, and missions; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations; help manage revenues and expenses for events; develop strategies for innovative media; maintain database and marketing materials; and schedule meetings.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in international affairs or related field, particularly with an emphasis on Northeast Asia/China studies; 1-3 years experience in China or on issues related to China; excellent writing skills; strong organization, communications, and interpersonal skills; detail oriented; ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines; experienced planning and managing events; good typing and computer skills; knowledge of current political and economic issues affecting U.S. businesses in China; and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally. Fluency in Mandarin preferred.
