Employment Opportunity: Gelman Library, Global Resources Center

Job Description

We are seeking hourly employees who love research and working with people to join the Global Resources Center (GRC) staff at the George Washington University Libraries. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with researchers and to learn about 21st century collections and resources in the field of international and area studies. All GRC employees are trained to use the library’s online system and wide variety of research-oriented databases. Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing research assistance;
• Participating in outreach and event planning;
• Processing and maintaining GRC collections and resources.

Wage: for graduate students starts at $12

Position Requirements 

• Academic background in international affairs or a related field;
• Facility with the Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Arabic languages;
• Ability to work 15-20 hours a week including some evenings and weekends.
