On the HCE Program, we have dozens of families waiting to help make your China dreams a reality. Our prospective host parents care deeply for their children’s futures, and want to help broaden their horizons with one special ingredient: you. Your knowledge, your skills, and your friendship can help their children grow into healthy young adults, ready to take on the challenges of our interconnected world.
We carefully match applicants with host families in China’s most popular, metropolitan cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. To help you get the most out of your China adventure, our program offers:
• Free airfare to China for applicants in our 6-month programs
• Flight allowance for applicants in our 4-12 week programs during summer and winter break
• Free room and board
• Monthly stipend
• Only 25-35 helping hours per week
• Weekly Chinese classes & activities
• An assigned LPC (Local Program Coordinator) to help you with any potential problems you may encounter
• Organized cultural outings

Qualifications
- Willing to live and study in China
- Positive attitude
- Responsible and dependable
- Experience with children and/or teaching
- While not required, an interest in International Studies and/or East Asian Culture is preferred
