Khon Thai Classical Dance and Puppet Show

The newly formed GW Southeast Asian Association, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy, is hosting a Khon Thai Classical Dance and Puppet Show as performed by the Department of Fine Arts in the Ministry of Culture and the Joe Louis Theatre. The show weaves together intricate styles of dance and pantomime, with riveting stories from Thai tradition and contemporary figures like Michael Jackson. The Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, His Excellency Ambassador Chaiyong Satjipanon, will be gracing the event and giving an address before the show. If you are interested in learning more about a new culture, want to see a professional dance performance for free, or just want to support a new student group on campus, this is the event for you.
