Ad Statement:
Job Summary:
To work closely with the director and associated faculty members in all of the program's activities, including programming, event planning, budgeting, and student advising.

Position is a one-year appointment renewable for second-year at the department's discretion.
Minimum Qualifications:
One to two years of college, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, plus three years of relevant experience to include at least six months of supervisory or business administration experience.
Desired Qualifications:
? Prior professional experience in either project or program management is encouraged
? Experience with marketing, outreach and academic recruiting
? Experience with website design and management is encouraged
? Experience with international students and/or in educational environment is desirable
? Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills are necessary
? Familiarity with word processing, database management, Excel, and PowerPoint
? Strong, demonstrated teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
The incumbent generally performs job duties in a normal business office environment. This involves working while sitting at a desk for extended periods of time. The job also includes significant event planning and execution, which requires a significant level of physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasionally lifting office supply items that may weigh up to 20 pounds. Additionally, the incumbent may be required to attend meetings in other offices, or deliver and/or retrieve information from other offices around campus.

The ability to operate basic office equipment such as personal computers, duplicating machines, fax machines and standard office telephones may also be required.

Function:
Provides day-to-day administrative and operational activities, as well as managing budget and expenditures/reimbursements.
Serves as a liaison between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or the general public on various issues.
Tracks and collects various records/data; prepares reports; and maintains records.
Assists faculty, students, and staff engaged in the implementation and administration of activities.
Organize and promote events, travel, meetings, and conferences.
Updates website.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
