Join us as Frank Wong shares his experiences as an Elliott School alumnus who has moved through the ranks of the corporate world into leadership roles at multinational corporations, including Scholastic, Inc., Pepsi, Nabisco, and Colgate-Palmolive.

Learn strategies for effectively moving from entry-level positions into management and leadership roles. Hear how to make your resume stand out from the crowd and how to make a positive impression. Frank will also share tips for navigating the global business marketplace and working with diverse cultures. He will offer insights into emerging trends in brand management and international education.

FRANK WONG, ESIA BA ‘79

Frank Wong brings extensive credentials in building international businesses. Before joining Scholastic Asia as President 12 years ago, he was Managing Director of PepsiCo's food business in China and established best practices in sales execution and in-store merchandising. Prior to PepsiCo, Frank Wong spent 5 years with Nabisco, successfully building the company's international brand identity. Wong also held various marketing positions at Colgate-Palmolive in New York and was co-founder and President of a start-up venture to develop and market special electronic products for the visually impaired around the world.

Mr. Wong was born in Hong Kong and speaks fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. He has a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University; a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University; and did advanced studies at Harvard's JFK School of Government.

Scholastic International's operations in Asia include companies in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Scholastic Asia has growing businesses in education, trade, home continuities and Scholastic Book Fairs and Book Clubs. Scholastic Asia sells English language reference materials and local language product through a network of approximately 2,500 independent sales representatives.
